About

Nuria Ortigosa is an architect based in Barcelona. Her work moves between architectural practice, research and teaching, exploring how design and curatorial processes can operate as tools of critical reflection on the built environment.

She co-founded Ante Atelier Architectural Office in 2020. The studio develops projects for housing, public spaces and facilities, often engaging with existing contexts and collective forms of habitation. Alongside her professional practice, Nuria researches architectural exhibitions as instruments of architectural knowledge production — a topic that structured her PhD, defended at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2025.

She has been assistant editor of Quaderns d’Arquitectura i Urbanisme (#271 About Buildings & Food), and her work has been published in Quaderns, Ra Magazine, Ciudad y Territorio, among others, and exhibited at Mugak and the Venice Architecture Biennale.

She has carried out international research stays at the Fondation Le Corbusier, the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA), the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), and the Faculdade de Arquitectura de Lisboa. In parallel, she teaches at the Department of Architectural Design (UPC), where she leads a Final Degree Project Studio combining conceptual, spatial, environmental and technological approaches.
